Grade Yourself
New South
Wales cyclists now have to re-enter a grade to race in Queensland. A grade
query form is available on the Cycling Queensland website. Fill it in, send
it to them and cc a copy to Garry Creighton. The Queensland handicapper is
keen to liaise with NSW club handicappers to produce a grade for cyclists.
Looks like NSW handicapping is being bypassed.

Away
Well done to all those members who rode at the Sunshine Tour. I expect by
now all the stories have been told. It’s a great event. The bunches set a
cracking pace. I enjoyed the spa the best, my form was horrible.
Tony
Clarke, Neale McLennan rode the Grafton TTT with Paul Howard, Anthony Condon
and Dave Boutken. They completed the 100ks in 2hrs 44 mins to come 5th(?)
in the Masters category. Good effort. Brendan Cole was in the winning team
on the day, approximately 10 mins outside the record.
A number of club riders went to the Keegan Downes
Memorial race in Coonabarabran on the 28th June. Hal Holley,
Wayne Brien, Neale Mclennan and Brendan Cole raced over 2oo kms for the
weekend. Nine riders from this area took part – Johnny Nicholls, Paul
Howard, Peter McMahon, Michael McCall made a great support cast.
